Feedstock Types

What other feedstocks can you process besides turkey waste?
The TCP can transform a wide variety of waste streams into renewable sources of oil to meet our transportation, electricity, and heating requirements; and minerals from organic waste to be used as fertilizer. Some of the renewable feedstocks that have been tested include:

Food Processing / Agricultural
Poultry (Offal, Feathers, Bones, Litter, Manure, Protein Meal); Beef (Offal, MDM, Paunch, Bone Meal); Pork (Offal, Manure, Grease); Fish; Hay and other Natural Grasses; Corn Sludge; Spent Hens; Egg Waste; Mushroom Substrate; Onion Skins; Soybean Oil Soapstock
Industrial
Shredder Residue, Tires, Mixed Plastics
Municipal
Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) Sludge

What products do you get when you process waste from a typical food processing plant?
Food processing waste converts into renewable diesel and minerals.

What products do you get when you process waste from a typical mixed plastics / tires processing plant?
Post-consumer mixed plastics and tires convert into renewable fuels and recoverable minerals and metals. The major component of this feedstock is derived from crude oil; therefore, it makes technological sense that this material can be converted into renewable diesel and other products.

What products do you get when you process waste from a municipal plant?
Municipal solid waste (MSW) plants have a varied mixture of organic wastes (food waste and plastic bottles) and inorganic wastes (dirt, metals, and glass). Therefore, the yields from these plants are, once again, renewable diesel and other useful products.

Can your technology be used for BSE (Mad Cow Disease)?
We believe that our TCP is capable of destroying prions in large quantities. It can potentially be used for disposal of specified risk materials (SRM’s) or other BSE- related material. The material is directed away from the food chain, helping to reduce the risk of disease transmission.
